Shipping Commodities – What You Need to Know

Certain commodities are considered as “Non-Document” and need to be accompanied by an invoice and, in some cases, additional customs documentation. Other commodities are considered simply as a “Document” and only require a DHL Waybill to be completed. The following list explains what you need to do in order to ship various commodities.

Document Commodities (Require only DHL Waybill)

Advertising brochures, brochures and compilations
Plane tickets, empty
Plane tickets, issued, valid
Annual report
Works of art, paintings, experiments, designs, etc.
Blank forms
Drawing budget
Booklets and manuals (non-advertising)
Books: paper books for non-commercial purposes
Business card
Chart, graph
Working papers

Documents and general business
Invoice, not empty
Handbook and technical manual
Money transfer
Printed or handwritten music
Images such as rents and films
Private mail
Photos as part of a business report
Architectural and engineering plans
